ANJALI
(whispering to herself) Just need her looking a bit to the left, so I can match her eyes looking at the other character…
RAMESH, the director, paces behind her, his gaze shifting between the screen and Anjali's who is trying to find that look from other footages. He can feel the weight of the deadline pressing down on them.
RAMESH
(with a hint of urgency)
Anjali, how's it coming along?
ANJALI
(focused) Just need a couple of scenes for the build up to the action. I want to add couple of scenes, her looking at the other character and we’ll slowly push in, and then a close up of hers so as to make it look like something is going in her mind. Need to build that tension that something major is going to happen with the character. That build up to that character is very important, as she is going through major emotion.
As tension mounts in the room, Anjali's fingers move with purpose, navigating through the footage with precision. Every decision is critical, every adjustment a potential game-changer.
Anjali: Action is really good; I can understand her taking that step. But need to add a few shots for her reaction. As she has gone through a major emotion. The reaction needs to be more so we can feel her grief and be with her grief.
As Anjali keeps on working, looking at different footages, the director is smoking and pacing tensely. The producer talking on the phone. An office boy brings some tea and serves everyone.
Anjali gathers everybody and then plays the scene on the monitor. Everyone is looking the scene tensely. Anjali is a bit nervous, as how the scene has come about. She looks at the director, who is watching the scene, he seems excited as how the edit has come about. He looks at the producer who has kept his phone down, and is looking happy by what he is watching on the screen.
Suddenly, there is a collective gasp in the room as the scene on the monitor comes alive in a new, electrifying way. The emotion is raw, the pacing gripping, the impact undeniable.
ANJALI
(excitedly) We've got this! This is looking really good!
